About us
Art as transformation. Place as practice. Community as catalyst.
Antropia is a community interest company dedicated to the advancement of art, culture, and wellbeing through site-responsive, participatory practice. We approach public art and art making? as active forces that can shape experience, shift perception, and open pathways between people, places, and ideas.
We believe that public spaces hold memory, emotion, conflict, and potential. Through creative interventions, these spaces can become positive catalysts for places and people. Our work focuses on cultivating meaningful encounters in the shared environment: moments that allow people to feel seen, connected, and part of something larger than themselves. We aim to co-create artworks that reflect resonance with a shared imagined future.
Through workshops, installations, performances, research and collective events, we work with individuals and communities of all ages, including those experiencing marginalisation, displacement or isolation, as well as children and young people. We work to create and/or co-create projects that centre care, imagination, and social connection and help people become active agents in shaping their environments and stories.
